Is your family flourishing?

My work merges science with simplicity to help families thrive.

Reality Check

  • Nearly a quarter of school-age kids have at least one chronic health condition.

  • 40% of U.S. high-school students experience persistent sadness or hopelessness —acute enough to stop doing usual activities for at least two weeks.

  • Over the last decade diagnosed anxiety in children ages 3-17 increased 63% and depression in adolescents increased 45%.

  • 48% of parents say that on most days their stress is “completely overwhelming” (compared with 26% of other adults).

  • Deaths of despair from suicide, overdose and alcohol-linked disease have risen sharply—suicide is now the second leading cause of death among American children ages 10-14.

  • Nearly four in ten U.S. children ages 6–17 fail to meet all three federal indicators of flourishing.

  • The U.S. is now ranked in its lowest position ever on the World Happiness Report.

Understanding the science of human flourishing changes everything.
